What started in San Diego in 2005 as a one-person mobile bartending operation has grown into a trusted Southern California event services team. Led by founder Kevin Thornton and supported by local hospitality professionals, KBS brings credible, warm, and dependable service to hosts across San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire.
Our Philosophy
At KBS, we believe event hosting should be enjoyable, not stressful. That is why we focus on founder-led organization and team-supported delivery. We do not operate like a massive, impersonal booking platform. When you request a quote, our team works with you to calculate alcohol purchase requirements, plan bar dimensions, and design custom cocktails so there are no surprises on your event day.
Our Team & Standards
Every bartender, server, and barback on the KBS team is fully vetted, certified, and insured. We carry $2M general liability, liquor liability, and workers' compensation coverage, which is required by premium country clubs, coastal estates, and corporate business centers. Our team handles beverage cooling, layout setup, and final cleanup, ensuring a seamless experience for you and your guests.
Serving all major Southern California event markets
Our service areas include San Diego County, Orange County, Los Angeles County, and the Inland Empire, including cities like Riverside, San Bernardino, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Temecula, Murrieta, and Redlands. We also travel to select surrounding event markets to support weddings, backyard birthday parties, office mixers, and large galas.
